In Common Light

What pains me the most about what is going on
Is that the suffering of a group deemed lower
Is due to the suffering of a group deemed higher

What hurts one group
Hurts the other 

I know this because
What healed me
brought me to the other side
I gained from doing what needs to be done.

We at this point aren't offered a chance to heal
How dare they take away that chance.

When you have the choice of
Self-liberation 
That meanwhile helps others
Versus 
Self-destruction 
That meanwhile hurts others
Which is the obvious choice?
Tell me – but it is clear, the obvious choice.
