You think a strive
Is what it will take
A life locked up
Forcing you to make it out
I think you forgot
What led you here
I think you forgot
You made it out
I think you forgot
How good that felt
And that you’ll do
Anything to spread
Spread that light
That love and connection
Something like this
Works out
Surely it does, inch by
Inch, it unfolds as
A tapestry
A beautiful one just
As it started
No jail bars here
Only sunflowers
In Common Light
Rooted reflections on belonging and being
