In Common Light

We have stores
Open late at night 
I haven't to worry 
About hair gel,
Travel toothpaste,
Or floss,
A flashdrive --
They're handled.

They're open late but 
There's still 
Something 
I'm missing.

I'm not sure how to put it but 
I don't need those things 
As much 
As others.

My hair gel 
Toothpaste
Means my hair is nice,
Teeth are clean,
But my heart wants something else.
It wants more,
It wants what 
A store
Can't provide.
No matter how late 
They're open 
It can't give me 
What I'm longing for.

I'm more at ease --
Peaceful --
When other things 
Are taken care of --
When my heart is full,
Is returned,
Is settled.

It doesn't matter,
Then,
How late a store is open.
I want serenity,
I want love,
I want my heart returned,
The judgement 
Gone.

I want all of the infiltrations 
Gone.

When you get to this place,
You can be happy
Anywhere.

The top of a hill 
In a house,
Lonely.

Because you know 
You have a heart
That's returned,
That's full,
That's got love
Back in there now.
